- Dipsacus Fullonum — Teasel — Dried Root
Dipsacus Fullonum (Teasel) liquid extract, prepared from dried root and processed at our facility in Hawaiʻi, USA. Two solvent options are available: an alcohol tincture and an alcohol-free vegetable glycerin extract. Every batch is independently tested for identity, purity, and microbiological safety before release. This product is GMO-free, gluten-free, and contains no artificial colors, added sugar, preservatives, fillers, or excipients of any kind.
Teasel (Dipsacus fullonum) is a herb or shrub of the Caprifoliaceae family, native to Eurasia and North Africa. The root is dried and used in botanical preparations.
- Solvent: 60% vegetable glycerin USP + 40% purified water. No alcohol used at any stage.
- Advantage: Suitable for those avoiding alcohol. Effectively extracts water-soluble plant compounds.
- Taste: Mildly sweet from the glycerin. No added sugar or flavoring.
- Shelf life: Recommend use within 1–2 years of purchase.
- Solvent: Alcohol + vegetable glycerin + water.
- Advantage: Extracts both water-soluble and lipid-soluble plant compounds. Longer shelf life and faster absorption.
- Taste: Traditional herbal tincture flavor with mild warmth from the alcohol. No added sugar or flavoring.
- Shelf life: Alcohol acts as a natural preservative. Up to 4 years when stored properly.
- HPTLC (High-Performance Thin-Layer Chromatography) — botanical identity confirmation and fingerprinting.
- FTIR (Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy) — compositional in-house analysis.
- Organoleptic evaluation: color, consistency, and aroma assessed per batch.
- Testing guided by USP, Ph. Eur., ISO 17025, and cGLP standards.
- Total plate count — spec: <10³ CFU/g.
- E. coli — spec: absent.
- Yeast & mold — spec: <1,000 CFU/g.
- Viscosity measurement and refractometric analysis.
- Certificate of Analysis (COA) available upon request for wholesale and practitioner accounts. Provide order number and batch number from the product label.
This product contains no additives, fillers, or excipients of any kind. What is in the bottle is extract and solvent — nothing else.
- Shake well before use
- Adults: Add 20–30 drops (0.7–1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) to juice or water
- Take up to 4 times daily
- 1 ml ≈ 25 drops
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct light and heat.
- Keep dropper clean and avoid contact with other surfaces to prevent contamination.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Do not use if the safety seal is broken or missing.
- Consult the product label for warnings and contraindications.
- 32 fl oz bottles contain unfiltered extract and may have visible plant material inside — this is normal and expected.
- 64 fl oz plastic containers may show minor leaking during transit; this is not grounds for a refund or replacement.
- 2 fl oz and 4 fl oz: eligible for return if unopened and unused within 30 days of purchase.
- 32 fl oz and 64 fl oz: not eligible for return due to the nature of liquid herbal extracts.
