A classic PS2 rebuilt for another generation of gaming — featuring a brand-new translucent shell, new optical components, detailed cleaning, calibration, and comprehensive testing.
Not Just Cleaned. Actually Refurbished.
These PlayStation 2 Slim consoles are rebuilt with reliability in mind. Each system receives a brand-new replacement shell, new laser and ribbon cable, a new CMOS battery, and a complete internal and external cleaning.
The optical drive is then calibrated and tested across the different disc formats the PS2 was designed to read.
Our Refurbishment Process
Brand-New Shell
The original outer housing is replaced with a new translucent shell for an exceptionally clean, like-new appearance.
New Laser & Ribbon Cable
A new optical laser assembly and laser ribbon cable are installed to address two of the most common age-related PS2 Slim drive components.
Service-Level Laser Calibration
After installation, the optical system is calibrated using PS2 service-level PMAP procedures rather than simply installing the replacement laser and shipping the console.
New CMOS Battery
The aging internal clock battery is replaced so the console can properly retain its clock settings after being disconnected from power.
Internal Cleaning
The system is opened and cleaned internally to remove accumulated dust and debris instead of only cleaning the exterior.
External Cleaning & Inspection
Ports, buttons, connectors and other exterior areas are inspected and cleaned before the finished console receives its final test.
